The weekend is coming and the great frost as well, according to the weather forecast and to the raging wind this morning has been unleashed on Prato: I guess next two days will be all about my bed, listening to my favourite music, watching tons of movies and making cooking experiments in the kitchen.
With me, there will be my new Tweety (do you remember? I talked about it in this post) which will play my favourite music in my tiny flat, while I will walk around with pajamas and a sweater. :)
It arrived two days ago and it is already working hard: it has been connected to my smartphone, iPod and laptop... the sound is extremely clean and high!
A huge kiss, babies, have a nice weekend!


PS: today this blog turns one year old! Hurray!!



Il weekend si avvicina e il grande freddo pure, stando a quello che dicono le previsioni e al ciclone che si è scatenato stamattina su Prato: prevedo una due giorni di full immersion tra le coperte, ad ascoltare musica, guardare film e pasticciare in cucina.

A tenermi compagnia ci sarà il mio nuovo Tweety (ricordate? Ve ne avevo parlato in questo post) che farà risuonare tutta la mia musica preferita nel minuscolo monolocale in cui abito, mentre mi aggirerò per casa in pigiama e maglione. :) 

Mi è arrivato due giorni fa e l'ho già messo a lavorare sodo: collegato allo smartphone, all'iPod e al portatile... il suono è veramente fenomenale!

....The events in occasion of Pitti Immagine Uomo are starting. It's Luisa Via Roma the first that begins with a party dedicated to fashion bloggers. This time there was me too, with my brand new friends and "collegues" (even if this is not a real job, I know...).

The dress code was: pink. So, here I am wearing my purchase from Madrid (do you remember?), a romantic skirt by Manoush which made me risk and seem a pig disguised as a ballet dancer. Plus, I risked a congelation while I was in the queue at the entrance of the party: there were 2 degrees.....

If you're friends of mine on FB you followed all my real time updates from the party... and you already saw and read about frost and my killer heels. If you don't, do it, and give me your "like" on my FB page, cause next days I will upload photos in real time from Pitti.

....But how's this date which every fashion blogger want to take part?

...Incominciano gli eventi collegati alla fiera Pitti Uomo e a incominciare è Luisaviaroma, boutique dei prodotti di lusso che dedica il primo party ai fashion bloggers. Stavolta c'ero anch'io con nuove amiche e "colleghe" (si può dire così anche se non è un vero e proprio lavoro?).

Il tema era il rosa, e così eccomi con indosso l'acquisto dell'estate scorsa a Madrid, una gonnellina frou frou di Manoush che mi ha fatto rischiare l'effetto "Porky Pig vestito da Ballerina dei Sogni", oltre che un congelamento all'entrata della festa, con 2 gradi netti....

Se siete miei amici su FB avrete seguito in tempo reale tutti gli aggiornamenti della serata... dal freddo, al mio tacco 15 ecc.... Se ancora non lo siete, diventatelo, e già che ci siete mettete un "mi piace" anche sulla mia pagina, perchè nei prossimi giorni documenterò anche gli eventi collegati a Pitti Immagine (almeno, quelli a cui sarò presente).

Ma com'è, visto da dentro, questo fatidico appuntamento a cui le tanto osannate e odiate fashion bloggers vogliono a tutti i costi partecipare?

We met in december at the Iamthefuture event and we said: why not to organize a dinner together? No sooner said than done: Sara Mautone provided her home and her culinary skills, so last Wednesday Irene Colzi, Silvia Chelazzi and I have sitting at the same table chatting about purses, sales (what a strange thing, isn't?) and more.
And then of course couln't we pose for a phoographer, at her home? :)
Sara Mautone, creator of amazing dreamy mood shots you can watch HERE too, will be this wekkend the photographer of my scarves as well, that someone of you has already seen on my FB profile. Soon they will be available for purchase directly on the web, as you requested.

Ci siamo incontrate all'evento Iamthefuture a dicembre e ci siamo dette: perchè non organizzare una cena tutte insieme? Detto, fatto: Sara Mautone ha messo a disposizione la sua casetta e la sua abilità culinaria, e mercoledì Irene Colzi, Silvia Chelazzi e io ci siamo ritrovate sedute alla stessa tavola a chiacchierare di borse, saldi (strano, eh?) e molto altro.

E poi, ovviamente, a casa di una fotografa potevamo non ritrovarci a posare per lei? :)

DIY - Seashell necklace

Sometimes it happens: I'm struck by an idea,  until I realized I can not find peace: I have it always in my head, buzzing in the background to all other thoughts, creeps into the things I see, comes over me when I have nothing to do ... In other words, an obsession! :)
It was the case of this necklace i had in my head for months but because of all the commitments (but also because of laziness) I didn't realize it...
Now vacations are started, we all can do relaxing things so I did it. I suggest if you're leaving for the beach to bring as souvenir some seashells and make a necklace like this one I did.

Ogni tanto succede che vengo folgorata da un'idea e finchè non l'ho realizzata non trovo pace: ce l'ho sempre in testa, mi ronza in sottofondo a tutti gli altri pensieri, si insinua nelle cose che vedo, mi assale quando non ho nulla da fare... Insomma, una vera ossessione! :)

E' il caso di questa collana, che ho in testa da mesi ma un po' per gli impegni che si moltiplicano (per fortuna) un po' per pigrizia, non ho mai realizzato...
Ora che le vacanze sono incominciate, ho potuto finalmente metterci mano e consiglio a tutte voi che state partendo per una località di mare di portarvi a casa qualche bella conchiglia come souvenir e farci una collana come quella che vi mostro oggi!

There's nothing like taking care of ourselves

When we're tired and disappointed, when we are alone or just sad, when we wouldn't prepare something to eat and we would turn off even singing birds... It's just the time we have to take care of ourselves and tickle our sense of beuty: let's light two candles, let's choose a nice and quiet place, let's enjoy a colorful and healthy dish, let's surround ourselves by fragrant and amazing things... that's a gift for ourselves!!!

The other evening it was just the way I felt and so I chose my favourite place: the terrace, at my new lavender table, with two lanterns which create the right atmosphere... and I felt good!

Total white? With caramel accessories!

Hi, sweeties! Love this weather: it's perfect to keep your windows wide open, to take a walk among the fields, to let my hair dry naturally with warm air, to dining on the terrace under the stars and.... to dress up with total white as well!!

If you got any white dress, this is the moment to resume it from your closet! If you don't have it, no problem: you certainly have a few other white garments to match just like the way I did.

The miniskirt and the shirt are both made in linen/cotton fibers: I adore the rumpled look they got and the way  it makes you feel: so relaxed and free. Plus choosing the top and the bottom in the same fabric and shape, you can simulate a dress.

For all day long, I prefer mixing total white with casual style caramel accessories. 

A "precious" and important necklace, finally, pulls up the whole look by eliminating the carelessness effect risk.

Do you like the result?

Last note: under white blouses like this one, use a nude bra, not a white one, please!!! The white one is visible throughout!!!

Salve, dolcezze! Amo questo tempo: è perfetto per tenere le finestre aperte, per fare una camminata in mezzo ai campi, per lasciar asciugare i miei capelli all'aria, per cenare in terrazza sotto le stelle e... per vestire in total white!

An old fashioned top

How many among you have still got in their closet an old-fashioned top you've not been able to get rid of? One of those too short for actual fashion but very cool a few years ago...

I've got one in a golden lurex tissue, which would let my belly naked (and I'm 28 years old and do got a belly).

I've always kept there, in a corner of my closet, waiting an idea to restyle it. I didn't find it. But I've found the way to use it again: overlapping it on another longer tank top.

Even in these pics I find really delicate this combination of gold and light yellow: what do you think about?

A few pics from my birthday

A very pleasant night spent with a few special friends in Florence... I missed my love Gab but he gifted 30 seconds of his voice via phone... :)
Despite of all unpleasant events, during last year I had possibility to re-build my happiness and meet such wonderful people like them. I feel so good now 'cause I'm surrounded by a lot of love! This is the most important thing to me.
Short note about my outfit: I chose sequins because of the joyfulness of the event, although it was very hot in the room and I immediately put away bolero. The clutch is a vintage piece very precious to me, 'cause it comes directly from my grandma's closet and I treasure it. About this, I have to show you another one, even more beautiful. I hope I will have the opportunity to show it off soon!
The rest of  apparel isn't very visible, but however I wore a simple pair of dark washed jeans and gold sandals, bought years ago at Zara, in keeping with the purse.

Una serata molto piacevole passata a Firenze in compagnia di pochi amici speciali... Mi è mancato Gab ma perlomeno mi ha regalato 30 secondi della sua voce via telefono.. :)
Nonostante tutti gli eventi spiacevoli, nel corso dell'ultimo anno ho avuto la possibilità di mettere le fondamenta della mia felicità e incontrare persone tanto meravigliose come loro e ora sono circondata da tanto affetto! Questa è la cosa più importante per me.
Piccola nota sul mio outfit della serata: ho scelto le paillettes per la festosità dell'evento, anche se in realtà faceva molto caldo nel locale e il bolero l'ho messo da parte immediatamente. La clutch è un pezzo vintage molto prezioso per me, perchè viene direttamente dal'armadio di mia nonna e la custodisco gelosamente. A proposito di questo, ne ho anche un'altra da mostrarvi, ancora più bella. Spero di avere l'occasione di sfoggiarla molto presto!
Il resto dell'abbigliamento non è molto visibile, ma a onor di cronaca, indossavo un semplice paio di jeans dal lavaggio scuro e dei sandali oro, comprati anni fa da Zara, in tono con la borsetta.

How to wear the lemon print top

When I saw Stella McCartney's catwalk at first I thought it was uncommercial because of its prints of lemons and oranges (you can see the complete catwalk here): I thought it was too extravagant to be worn everyday.
But now summer is arriving and I ever more need bright colours and funny prints!
I'm in love with orange this period and the same is with lemon yellow. So, this is another still-life outfit with this colour!
This fantastic clutch is available on Dorothy Perkins.com at cost of 25 $ only!
I already proposed matching bright colours with naturals, I think it's a really cool combination, so here it is another one more! I own a similar beige eco-leather jacket (see it here) and I think it won't be difficult finding one at Zara. However, this one is by Burberry Prorsum.
You can use heels if you don't like wedges like these, which are by Michael Antonio and their cost is $100, but you have to choose a pair of pumps.
Minimal jewelry: use a unique necklace or a bracelet: this outfit is for daytime!

Quando ho visto per la prima volta la sfilata di Stella McCartney ho pensato che era troppo poco commerciale, con quelle stampe di limoni e arance dappertutto (puoi vedere la sfilata qui): ho pensato che fosse troppo stravagante per essere usata da noi comuni mortali.
Ma adesso che l'estate sta arrivando e io ho bisogno sempre più di colori accesi e stampe divertenti, mi sono ricreduta!
In questo periodo vado pazza per l'arancio e così anche per il giallo , perciò eccovi un altro outfit con questo colore!
Questa clutch favolosa è disponibile sul sito di Dorothy Perkins al costo di soli 25 $!
Ho già proposto di mixare i colori neon e quelli brillanti  con i toni naturali come beige e sabbia, ed è perchè penso che sia un mix veramente cool. Perciò, eccovene un altro! :)
Ho una giacca di ecopelle come questa, presa da Zara l'anno scorso (la puoi vedere qui) e penso che se ne volete una non c'è bisogno di prendere questa di Burberry Prorsum: dovreste trovarla nelle catene low-cost.
Potete usare i tacchi se non vi piacciono le zeppe (queste sono di Michael Antonio Studio e le trovate qui a $100), ma in quel caso scegliete delle semplici decolletée.
Siate parche di altri accessori: puntate su una singola collana o un bracciale: è un outfit per il giorno!

Come vi avevo promesso, eccovi qualche foto del mio piccolo shooting fotografico a Firenze con la rivista  "TuStyle" (trovate la loro pagina Facebook qui), che ha deciso di fotografare i look direttamente dalla strada con l'evento itinerante "TuStyle in the city". E io sono molto onorata di essere stata fotografata da loro!! :)

In the garden

The garden of Gab's parents is incredibly beautiful and rich of flowers and colours and I couldn't resist: I had to take my outfit pics there before he left!
Always with me, my new Tuscany Leather Mary bag and this time I combined that with a trench, a pair of optical flats and a detail I'm proud of: this shantung scarf I bought in Paris at a vintage shop ( cost: 2 euros!!!!!). I wore it as an headband, tiying a bow on a side.
The ideal look was with a red lipstick, but I used this outfit to go working and a nude lipstick was better.
I enjoyed my White Night in Florence with my friends and we went to bed at 5 o'clock! (Oh my God, I'm not enough young anymore for this kind of things..!!) :)
The apartment where we stayed and slept was stunning, very luxurious!!! I couldn't believe to my eyes (you can find the pics in the last post).
And so, my sweeties, how did you spent this weekend? Are you relaxed? Or are you tired because of your wonderful nights? ;)

Il giardino dei genitori di Gab è incredibilmente bello e ricco di fiori e colori e non ho potuto resistere: dovevo fare le foto dell'outfit del giorno lì!

Powder pink and burgundy

I lately discovered this colour combination I think it's delicious and sofisticated and gives an allure so retro and delicate: powder pink matched with burgundy (called by me wine).
The perfect outfit for a not too formal evening: I wanted to enhance this retro look by choosing pieces as this small embroidered damask clutch (purchased a few years ago at Accessorize), the satin goddess top, the ring with small beads and two simple necklaces with a thiny chain and a single pendant. The first one is renowned by you. The second one is my recent creation: I found this little clock at the flea market in Paris for a trifle price (as you can see there's "chloè" written on the dial!!! Anyone can tell me if it could be the mytical "Chloé" label from Paris catwalks???). Then I simply mounted on a chain and added a clip. I like it so much!!!

First outfit with my new Tuscany Leather handbag

Here it is my outfit of my Easter days: confortable flats to walk trough Florence all the time with my family, my new Tuscany Leather bag and my favourite blazer (I've got a lust for blazer since last year...).
I spent my vacations with them and I'm very happy to have seen my parents after two months... I miss them so much!
This morning my love Gab is flying to Mexico again and I already miss him...
I need all your substain to switch quickly to the next two weeks!

How to wear a striped tee

A couple of ways to wear striped white&black tees has been illustrated by me in other older posts (you can find them HERE, HERE and HERE).
Now I'm showing you a more glamourous way, perfect for the evening as well.
Obi belt and skirt are from Gucci Spring / Summer 2011 collection, and I know, it isn't a cheap choice! In fact, I'm looking for a gold obi belt like this and actually I didn't find it yet. (Have you seen a similar type a little bit cheaper than this one?)
Striped tee is by Moschino but you can easily find a similar one in every low-cost shop (it's the trend of the season of course!).
These shoes are by Chiara Ferragni but you can find a pair less expensive than these on Asos.com or AkiraShop!

Un paio di modi di indossare le tshirt a righe bianche e nere sono stati illustrati in altri post (per esempio QUESTO, QUESTO e QUESTO).
Ma adesso ve ne mostro uno più glamourous, adatto anche per la sera.
La cintura obi e la gonna vengono dalla collezione primavera / estate 2011 di Gucci e, lo so, non è stata proprio una scelta tra le più convenienti! Infatti sto cercando una cintura obi oro simile a questa dappertutto ma finora nulla! (Voi ne avete viste di meno dipendiose, in giro?)
La maglia a righe è di Moschino ma confido nella vostra risparmiosità di fashioniste oculate e sono sicura che ve ne andrete a cercare una più economica in una qualsiasi catena low-cost..
Queste scarpe sono di Chiara Ferragni ma se ne può reperire un paio meno costoso su Asos.com o AkiraShop!

Rock soul

Yes, I've got a rock soul. I feel a little bit tomboy, but with heels, of course!
Here I was wearing a long printed tee, very rock, with a pair of used effect jeans and details in black and silver. My hair surely helps me in the look!
Tomorrow it's Easter and my parents decided to come and visit me: they will be here in a few hours (great! I'm very happy!!!!). And how you're gonna spend your Easter?
