Are you just like me, who wore nothing else than a pair of blue jeans even on summer, for years?

Every time I used to wear denim pants with 40 degrees out, my mum was so scared and asked to me how I could do that, I quietly used to answer I felt good that way. I guess it was because I didn't try dresses and harem pants yet. For a long time, when you're a teenager, you refuse dresses 'cause they seem too girlish and elegant and you hate everything isn't a pair of jeans and a tee 'cause everything else seems too stale.

Fortunately, that time is over to me and now I couldn't help me to come back to jeans.

Harem pants arre super confortable. They make you feel free in movements, they never go down, they don't stick your legs with sweat, they don't leave a mark on the bell, tthey let the cool pass on the skin when you're walking... I no longer want to come back to jeans on summer!

Just a tip: choose the right fabric with care, 'cause I've got a pair of polyester ones which could make me sweat even on winter. There are many types of polyester. Be sure it's good. And don't be scared to dare with fancy printed ones.

Siete anche voi di quelle che per anni hanno indossato nient'altro che i jeans anche d'estate? Quando mia madre mi vedeva uscire con i pantaloni stretti di tela indaco con 40°C all'ombra e raccapricciata mi chiedeva come facessi a sopportarli con quelle temperature, io con un'alzata di spalle rispondevo che stavo proprio bene coi jeans. Credo fosse perchè non avevo ancora provato abitini e pantaloni così. C'è una fase nell'adolescenza in cui ripudiamo i vestitini perchè ci sembrano troppo femminili ed eleganti, e tutto ciò che è diverso da jeans e maglietta fa subito vecchia tatona. Per mia fortuna, quella fase l'ho superata da un pezzo e sinceramente ora non saprei proprio come fare a tornare indietro ai vecchi jeans, e non mi riferisco solo alla ricerca della taglia perduta. Gli harem pants sono comodissimi. Ti fanno sentire libera di muoverti, non scendono, non si appiccicano addosso col sudore, non ti lasciano il segno del bottone troppo stretto sulla pancia, lasciano passare la brezzolina fresca della passeggiata al mare... e chi li lascia più?

Una sola raccomandazione: scegliete con cura il tessuto più fresco, e non abbiate paura di osare con le fantasie. Io ne ho un paio di poliesteraccio scarso (non tutti i poliestere sono uguali!, per citare una mia amica) che mi farebbe sudare anche in pieno inverno.

Hi babies! Many of you maybe don't know what bloggers really do in their lifes, and probably you are curious to learn more about them. Well, I'm a fashion designer, I work on my own for some companies who want consultancy about colors, trends, fabrics, graphics to use in their fashion collections. 

This year I created a series of prints for tshirts and tops and here is one of the best sellers, paired with an old purse I sewed a few years ago, the coolest bracelets now (by Cruciani) and new sandals bought on sales in a small shop in Florence.

Ciao ragazze! Molte di voi forse non sanno cosa le blogger fanno nella loro via, e probabilmente siete anche curiose di saperlo. Be', io sono una disegnatrice di moda, lavoro per conto mio per le aziende che vogliono una consulenza riguardo a tendenze, colori, tessuti, grafiche da usare nelle loro collezioni di moda.

Quest'anno ho creato una serie di stampe per t-shirt che hanno riscosso molto successo ed eccone qui una, abbinata a una vecchia borsetta che avevo cucito qualche anno fa, ai braccialetti più in voga adesso (by Cruciani) e a un paio di nuovi sandaletti presi in saldo in un negozietto di Firenze.

Free style

Do you remember this jacket? It's a diy from last year: I thought about how to re-use an old garment I used no longer. This year I find it even nicer and more trendy, and you? If you wanna try and create it by your hands, you just have to follow the step-by-step tutorial I posted here. 

During latest days I missed updating this blog to manage other commitments which have taken me overbusied so an awful herpes has pulled out from my lips.... now it would be needed a short vacation or a weekend at the seaside... Will I do it?

Meanwhile more busy days are attending to me, but I already booked four days in Instabul in August: for long time I desidered visiting this city and soon I will reach my dream!

Could you suggest me some tips, places to visit, favourite shops, markets, discos, pubs....? Come on, let me know!

Vi ricordate di questo giacchino? E' un fai-da-te dell'anno scorso, nato con lo scopo di tornare a indossare un capo datato che non indossavo più. E quest'anno lo trovo ancora più carino e più in linea con le tendenze, voi che ne dite? Se vi venisse voglia di provare a farlo anche voi, riciclando un vecchio giubbino di jeans, seguite i semplici passi che trovate descritti in questo post.

Nei giorni passati sono stata parecchio assente da questo spazio, per gestire i molti impegni che si sono accavallati fino a farmi spuntare fuori un herpes sul labbro... e infatti ora avrei bisogno di una vacanza o almeno di un weekend al mare... ce la farò?

Nel frattempo mi aspettano ancora giorni impegnativi, ma ho già prenotato un quattro giorni a Istanbul, ad agosto: era molto tempo che dicevo di voler visitare questa città e ora finalmente realizzerò il mio desiderio! Avete consigli da darmi, suggerimenti, posti da visitare, locali preferiti, cibi da provare, luoghi per lo shopping da passare in rassegna? Su su, fatevi sotto e sciorinate tutti i vostri tips: lo so che li tenete proprio lì sulla punta delle... dita!

Outfit: spring in Tuscany

Good morning workers! How it was your 1st of May? Here in Tuscany the rain didn't allow us to get a pic-nic.

Fortunately I really love staying at home, so I experimented lots of new recipes I will share with you next days ...are you ready? :)

These pics were taken the 25th of April in the Chianti, the most beautiful countryside in the world, I guess. Tuscany is very amazing and when you eat a tender meat drinking a red wine while you're sitting in front of this wonderful places... you feel in peace with all your senses.

Where to eat? Well, here every place is a good place to eat well. The restaurant I've been hosted by is Osteria alla Piazza and it's a little bit expensive to me but dishes were yummy. I went crazy expecially for deer meat served with a blueberry sauce and a mashed chestnuts.

We took 2 starters, 2 meat dishes, 1 side dish, 2 desserts, 1 litre of water, a bottle of red wine anda coffee and we spent 95euros. Good quality of food definitely, but it wasn't enough for the price requested. This is the reason why I don't feel to suggest you this place. There are many restaurants in Tuscany where quality and prices are  both very good. My tour will continue...

However landscape is really wonderful and after lunch you can quitely take a walk in the nature for an healthy digestion.

My apparel: superflats with a short damask blazer, a white tee and skinny jeans. Simplicity with details: a special twist was the flowered scarf I bought in paris last February.

I love wearing blazers on tees with jeans; that's a look I proposed very often in this blog: I think it's such a confy look, never dull.

Buongiorno belle lavoratrici! Com'è andato il vostro Primo Maggio? Qui in Toscana la pioggia ci ha impedito di fare un pic-nic, ma per fortuna io adoro stare in casa così ne ho approfittato per sperimentare in cucina tante ricette nuove che condividerò con voi nei prossimi giorni.... siete pronte? :)

Queste foto sono state scattate il 25 aprile nel Chianti, la più bella campagna esistente al mondo, credo.

La Toscana è veramente bellissima e quando ti trovi a mangiare carne tenerissima sorseggiando un ottimo vino rosso mentre siedi di fronte a un paesaggio così bello... ti senti in pace con tutti i tuoi sensi.

Dove mangiare? Be', qui è difficile trovare un posto in cui si mangia male, l'unica discriminante può essere il conto, più o meno salato. Il ristorante in cui ho mangiato io è l'Osteria alla Piazza ed è in effetti un pochino caro per le mie tasche, ma immagino che per la qualità di quello che abbiamo mangiato il prezzo sia giusto. Sono rimasta particolarmente colpita dal filetto di cervo servito in salsa di mirtilli e accompagnato da puré di castagne... davvero ottimo, e sicuramente una ricetta da provare a rifare a casa! 

Ecco quello che abbiamo preso: 2 antipasti, 2 secondi di carne, 1 contorno, 2 dessert, un litro d'acqua, una bottiglia di vino rosso, un caffè... totale: 95 euro. Buona la qualità del cibo in definitiva, ma non all'altezza del prezzo richiesto. Questo è l'unico motivo per cui non mi sento di consigliarvi questo posto: in Toscana ci sono molti ristoranti che offrono sia qualità che prezzi molto buoni. Il mio tour del gusto continua... :)
E voi, conoscete trattorie in Toscana dove si mangia bene e si spende un po' meno?

Il paesaggio d'intorno è veramente incantevole e dopo pranzo potete tranquillamente fare due passi a piedi nel verde per una più sana digestione.

Abbigliamento scelto: ballerine ultraflat abbinate a un blazer corto damascato di linea aderente, jeans skinny e una tshirt. Il particolare che accendeva la mise era una sciarpa in garza di cotone acquistata a Parigi lo scorso febbraio, variopinta e fiorata. 

Adoro portare i blazer sulle tshirt coi jeans, l'ho proposto spesso in questo blog: lo trovo un look confortevole e mai banale.

Switch up for a drink out

Maybe you got the problem - just like me - to have got no time to go back home after work and change your clothes for an aperitivo, a drink, a dinner with friends.. Here is an idea to save up our evening from questions as "...so now what should I wear???" and scoot to our date confy and flawless.
My look for all day long was a white tee and a black pull stolen from my man's wardrobe, a pair of super stonewashed jeans and a few golden accessories: a choker and a pair of cuffs, which are a must have to me this season. A trench will be perfect for day and night as well.
I completed my daywear with sneakers and a maxibag to carry with me everything I need; for the night you just have to keep a pair of red pumps and a clutch in your car and make the change just before to go to your date. A red lipstick will add glamour to your look. This is a wonderful shade of orange red I chose after a long long valutation in the store :)

Forse anche voi, come me, avete spesso il problema di non avere tempo per tornare a casa e cambiarvi, dopo il lavoro, per uscire la sera: un aperitivo, una cena tra amiche, una bevuta col proprio uomo. Ecco uno spunto per salvarci la serata dallo stress da "e ora cosa mi metto???" e volare all'appuntamento comode e impeccabili.

T-shirt bianca stampata e golfino nero sottratti all'armadio del mio lui, jeans slavati e pochi accessori d'impatto: due cuffs oro (il mio must, questa stagione!) e un collarino. Un trench sarà adatto sia alla sera che al giorno.

Per il lavoro ho preferito sneakers e maxibag per contenere tutto; per la sera via le zavorre e cambio scarpe in macchina: decolletèe rosse e pochette da tenere nel bagagliaio. Un rossetto rosso fuoco per dare glamour al look (il mio è una nuance splendida di rosso aranciato scelta dopo una lunga valutazione che ha estenuato la commessa :) ... ed è fatta! Pronta per la serata!

Frosty blossom

Simplicity of a black&white look with a pearl necklace was taught to us by M.lle Chanel times ago and that's still valid today, after a century of trends and fashion.
I ventured to reinterpreting it witha mix of jeans, over-the-knee boots and a d.i.y. necklace just a little bit kitsch (as it stands for chic with irony). If you wonder how to do that, get three throws of big pearls and a fake flower, remove the stem and then fix the flower where you prefer with a drop of  hot glue (it's extremely easy, try out!)

La semplicità del bianco e nero con una collana di perle ce l'ha insegnata tanto tempo fa M.lle Chanel ed è ancora sempre attuale, dopo quasi un secolo di mode. Io mi sono permessa di reinterpretarla con jeans e stivali oltre al ginocchio e una collana kitsch (ovvero chic sopra le righe, con molta ironia) creata da me. Se volete provare a rifarla, utilizzate tre fili di perle grosse come me e un fiore finto a cui ho staccato il gambo e che poi ho fissato con una goccia di colla a caldo (è semplicissimo, provateci anche voi!).

Let it snow... stay at home

I would have taken these pictures out, and in fact I saw an amazing location too, but I gave up just after walking for 5 minutes: here in Prato a freezing wind has raged and it seems we're in Siberia. I almost risked a frostbite, so I decided I will keep the location for spring outfits and I'll keep on taking pics inside my home until temperatures will be more humanly tolearble. Afterall, I'm a woman grown at the sun of the warm warm South of Italy!! I've not been programmed to bear this frost!

Volevo fare delle foto in esterno, ieri, e avevo trovato anche una location molto molto carina, ma ho rinunciato dopo aver fatto 5 minuti di passi a piedi: su Prato si è scatenato un vento gelido che fa concorrenza alla bora di Trieste e pareva di essere in Siberia. Ho quasi rischiato un assideramento, e così ho deciso che riserverò la location per climi più primaverili e continuerò a scattare foto in casa finchè la temperatura non tornerà a livelli umanamente accettabili. Insomma, io sono una donna del Sud, cresciuta al sole della Puglia, a queste temperature non ci sono abituata!!
