Let it snow... stay at home

I would have taken these pictures out, and in fact I saw an amazing location too, but I gave up just after walking for 5 minutes: here in Prato a freezing wind has raged and it seems we're in Siberia. I almost risked a frostbite, so I decided I will keep the location for spring outfits and I'll keep on taking pics inside my home until temperatures will be more humanly tolearble. Afterall, I'm a woman grown at the sun of the warm warm South of Italy!! I've not been programmed to bear this frost!

Volevo fare delle foto in esterno, ieri, e avevo trovato anche una location molto molto carina, ma ho rinunciato dopo aver fatto 5 minuti di passi a piedi: su Prato si è scatenato un vento gelido che fa concorrenza alla bora di Trieste e pareva di essere in Siberia. Ho quasi rischiato un assideramento, e così ho deciso che riserverò la location per climi più primaverili e continuerò a scattare foto in casa finchè la temperatura non tornerà a livelli umanamente accettabili. Insomma, io sono una donna del Sud, cresciuta al sole della Puglia, a queste temperature non ci sono abituata!!

Unbelievable boy

Sometimes it's worth playing with your own image and your male alter ego to stay and see what it happens if you don't match a large and long white shirt - which seems extorted by bad manners to a man's wardrobe - with something feminine but with a strong-used effect jeans and a business-look blazer long down over the hips.

 Val la pena, a volte, giocare con la propria immagine e con il proprio alter ego maschile, e stare a vedere che succede se a una camicia bianca larga e lunga - che sembra estorta con le cattive maniere all'armadio di un uomo - invece di qualcosa di estremamente femminile, vengono aggiunti un jeans sdrucito e una giacca seriosa lunga fino a oltre i fianchi.

White shirt

Oversized white shirts are a garment so stilish and versatile. I also think they're very sexy, as Audrey Hepburn teached in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Two nights ago I matched it with a simply pair of jeans and stillettos. Although Audrey is an elegance icon, I supposed it wasn't good idea wearing the shirt without them :)

Now, watching these pics I would have worn more jewelry: maybe a huge necklace, I think it could have been more charming. But however it was just for an aperitivo and a walk in Pistoia (a very nice town in Tuscany you absolutely have to visit) so I guess my look wasn't too understated.

Despite of the heels, these sandals are very confy and although they aren't new, this is the first time on the blog for them: do you like them? :)

Le camicie bianche oversize sono un indumento veramente stiloso e versatile. Penso anche che siano molto molto sexy, come insegna Audrey Hepburn in Colazione da Tiffany.

Due sere fa l'ho abbinata con un semplice paio di jeans e stiletti. Sebbene Audrey sia un'icona di eleganza, suppongo non fosse un'ottima idea indossare la camicia senza pantaloni :)

Ora, a ben riguardare queste foto avrei potuto indossare un po' di bijoux in più: forse una collana gigante, non so, ma penso che avrebbe potuto essere più accattivante. Ma comunque era solo per un aperitivo e una passeggiata a Pistoia (una cittadina toscana che dovete assolutamente visitare se non ci siete mai stati) perciò penso che il mio look non fosse sottotono.

A dispetto dei tacchi, questi sandali sono molto comodi e sebbene non siano nuovi, è la prima volta per loro su questo blog: che ne pensate? :)

Croatia day 3: stripes in Rovigno

Third day: my holiday become really interesting and we discover this colored town which embraces the sea and its blue and reveals us so amazing corners. Many lanes descend directly into the sea and I've found it faboulous. We're in Rovigno - Rovinj as local language says - and this is the best place I visited in Croatia.

Terzo giorno: la vacanza si fa veramente interessante, e scopriamo questo paesino coloratissimo che abbraccia il blu del mare e ci rivela degli scorci incantevoli. Tutte le stradine strettissime laterali scendono direttamente sul mare e a me è sembrato favoloso che il mare e le abitazioni potessero convivere così meravigliosamente. Siamo a Rovigno - Rovinj per gli abitanti del luogo - e fra tutti i posti che ho visitato in Croazia questo è senza dubbio il mio preferito.

Second day: we visited Pula (Pola) which is the major city of the area.

Autumnal outfit for a spring day...

I know, I couldn't go out yestarday, 'cause I'm still convalescent, but I did it. I had to do a few things I couldn't delay again.
So I covered myself as much as possible and I went out. This outfit seems taken from an autumnal post, but in fact, the weather these days doesn't allow me to do better.

Lo so, non potevo uscire ieri, perchè sono ancora convalescente, ma l'ho fatto. Dovevo sbrigare alcune commissioni che non potevo più rimandare.
Così mi sono coperta il più possibile e sono uscita. Questo outfit sembra tratto da un post autunnale, ma in effetti il tempo di questi giorni non mi permette di fare di meglio.

How to combine the most energic colour of the season: orange!

Spring is back! Let's dress up with orange!!

I really believe in this colour. But how to match it in an harmonic way?

I think using it for accessories is a good way to get closer to colour block look if you aren't used to wear bright colours.

I chose a simply oversize white shirt to wear out or in a pair of denim shorts with cuffed to the bottom.

Then, go ahead with vitamin orange ! Use it in a pair of heels (these are by Brian Atwood, a little bit expensive...), in a maxi envelope purse (you can find this one on asos.com price: about 26 euros), on your nails (you can find brightful cute low-cost colours at Kiko) and for rings...

Complete your look with a straw hat (this one is from RiverIsland, $ 27) and a touch of gold to shine and you'll be perfect!

PS: because of temperatures not yet well, you can replace the shorts with a pair of denim skinny pants!

La primavera è tornata! Vestiamoci di arancio!

Credo profondamente in questo colore. Ma come combinarlo in un modo armonico?

Penso che utilizzarlo negli accessori è un buon modo per avvicinarsi al colour block se non sei abituata a indossare colori accesi.

Ho scelto una camicia bianca oversize da indossare fuori o dentro a un paio di shorts in denim risvoltati al fondo.

Poi, via libera all'arancio vitamina! Usalo in un paio di decolletèe col tacco (queste sono di Brian Atwood, un tantino care...), in una maxi pochette a busta ( questa puoi trovarla sul sito asos.com a circa 26 euro), sulle unghie (puoi trovare bellissimi colori accesi low-cost da Kiko) e per gli anelli...

Completa il tuo look con un cappello di paglia (questo l'ho preso da RiverIsland, $ 27) e un tocco di oro per splendere, e sarai perfetta!

PS: visto che le temperature non sono ancora proprio estive, puoi sostiuire gli shorts con un paio di jeans lunghi..)
