Mixing lace and fringes, ton sur ton: that's an easy hint for a new romantic style. Lines arre essential, a few cuts, no volumes. You can choose light and natural colors as white and ecru for the daywear, like in this outfit, and keep the black for night, or you can try a bright color as orange matched with accessories in a contrasted color like purple.

Mixare il pizzo con le frange, tutto tono su tono: ecco uno spunto facile per uno stile neo-romantico. Le linee sono essenziali, senza troppi tagli o giochi di volume. Potete scegliere il corda o il bianco per il giorno, come ho fatto io, e riservarvi il nero per la sera, oppure osare un colore acceso come l'arancio e abbinarlo ad accessori a contrasto, come il viola brillante (accostamento proposto per l'estate anche da Frida Giannini per Gucci).

Abitini come il mio se ne trovano ormai in quantità, sia al mercato che nelle grandi catene low-cost, e se volete investire invece nella qualità, cercate nelle collezioni di grandi stilisti come Valentino e Blumarine, tra poche settimane in saldo.

PS: che ne dite di questa nuova borsa? L'ho acquistata a un prezzo super da un'altra blogger (che in molte di voi conoscono), Eleonora Della Guardia, del blog Neovecchiostile, che voleva sbarazzarsene... che dite, ho fatto bene? Io la uso già praticamente tutti i giorni...

Cherry lips and a denim shirt

A style I love because of its easiness is the total denim: coordinate top and bottom with the same shade of blue isn't so trivial and it looks good if you break up monotony inserting a few fizzy pieces: for exemple, I gave a twist with a pair of red suède pumps and a scarf tied at waist as belt, but you can also try with caramel accessories: they look very good as well.

Un look che mi piace molto per la sua portabilità è il total denim: coordinare il sopra e il sotto con pezzi nella stessa tonalità di blu non è così scontato e fa un bell'effetto se a rompere la monotonia si inserisce qualche pezzo più vivace, a sorpresa: per esempio, io ho dato brio al tutto con un paio di decolletée rosse in suède e una sciarpina stampata leopardo annodata in vita come una cintura, ma ci starebbero altrettanto bene (e ve le consiglio!) cintura e stivali in color cuoio: provate!

Madrid, day 1

¡Hola chicas!

I'm writing from Madrid, for last days of my holidays. I'm spending here an amazing time with my friend Claudia and our anfitrión Carlos who is the perfect guide for our tours because he knows so many things about art and history of the city.

We're eating very well and laughing and sleeping so much too :)

Spanish time schedule is crazy: we wake up at 1 p.m., lunch at 6 p.m. and dinner at midnight...... I think I'm going to suffer jet lag when I get back to Italy !!! :)

This is the short visual diary of the first day. We visited Retiro Park, a relaxing place where people go and take a walk after work and in holidays. After a slow visit of the center, we got a stop and eat pancakes with ice cream and dulce de leche in a café upon a shopping center known as El corte inglés, from which an amazing sight can be seen.

¡Hola chicas!

Vi sto scrivendo da Madrid, per gli ultimi giorni delle mie vacanze. Sto passando dei giorni meravigliosi con la mia amica Claudia e il nostro cicerone Carlos che è una guida davvero perfetta perché conosce un sacco di cose sulla storia e l'arte di questa città.

Stiamo mangiando benissimo e ridendo e anche dormendo molto :)

Gli orari spagnoli sono completamente sballati: ci svegliamo all'una del pomeriggio, pranziamo alle 18 e ceniamo a mezzanotte...... Credo che soffrirò il jet lag al mio ritorno in Italia!!! :)

Questo è il diario visuale del primo giorno. Abbiamo visitato il Parco del Buen Retiro, un posto molto rilassante in cui la gente va a fare una camminata dopo il lavoro e durante le vacanze. Dopo un rapido giro in centro, ci siamo fermati a mangiare delle ottime tarte dolci con helado e dulce de leche in un café in cima a un edificio che ospita il centro commerciale El corte inglés, da cui si vede una bellissima vista della città e del suo orizzonte...

Just a brooch for a look on the fly

A bunch of pics taken on the fly... and this outfit was created on the fly too! I chose this for a dinner at friends' home. Lately I've got less and less time for me, I don't know about you... So, I often have to rush from a commitment to another, through all over the town and I can stop just at night, when I go to my confy bed and I sleep at last!!!! :)

So, also this outfit is born this way: on the fly. Thanks to Coco and her blessed little black dress! I only wore that, and a long cardigan I purchased with THIS SKIRT at Benetton. To characterize the outift I pinned to the front a large fabric flower brooch. 

I believe the result is simple and fine, very nice. What do you think about?

Foto scattate al volo.... come al volo è stato creato questo look per una serata tra amici, a cena a casa di uno di noi. Non so voi, ma io ho sempre meno tempo per me, così spesso mi tocca correre da un impegno a un altro, da una parte all'altra della città e riuscire a fermarmi solo alla sera quando tocco letto e finalmente dormo! :)

Così anche questo look nasce così: al volo. Con un tubino nero che salva sempre (sia lodata Coco) e un lungo cardigan che avevo acquistato insieme a QUESTA GONNA da Benetton. A caratterizzare l'outift, una grande spilla a fiore in stoffa, appuntata sul davanti. 

Il risultato mi è parso semplice e fine, molto gradevole, voi che ne pensate?

Balance and empathy

A mix I'm getting crazy for is leopard + bright colors and fortunately fashion this year allows us that: on catwalks we saw a triumph of contrasting colors, daring combinations, eccentricity and flair. It's a real opportunity to express our personalities matching freely our wardrobe's pieces.

Some time ago, I remember, I proposed leopard jacket with red sneakers (CHECK IT HERE). Here I wanted to experiment leopard with orange, combination I had in mind for a while but I didn't have the occasion to show off.

This night I had to go out for an happy hour with a friend and so I calibrated sobriety and semplicity matching basic garments ( a classic jacket, a black tee, straight leg pants) with more eccentric pieces.

I think in fact we should try to calibrate our look not only for places we go or occasions, but for the kind of friends we go out with, without upsetting our personality of course.

I'm thinking for exemple about extremely shy friends who would feel uneasy close to a girl with a leopard sheath dress, exactly as we risk to look slippy close to a super curated and elegant woman if we're wearing flip-flops and jeans...

So, I find it's a form of empathy and it could make the difference in relationships.

Un abbinamento che mi sta facendo letteralmente impazzire quest'anno è il leopardo + colori accesi, e la moda, fortunatamente, quest'anno lo permette: sulle passerelle è tutto un tripudio di colori a contrasto, di accostamenti audaci, di bizzarrie e estrosità che si rivela una vera occasione per esprimere tutta la nostra personalità mixando liberamente i capi del nostro armadio.

Qualche tempo fa, ricordo, vi avevo proposto la giacca leopardata con le sneakers rosse (VEDI QUI). Qui invece ho voluto sperimentare il leopardato con l'arancione, abbinamento che avevo in mente da un bel po' di tempo ma che non ho mai avuto occasione di sfoggiare.

How to wear the lemon print top

When I saw Stella McCartney's catwalk at first I thought it was uncommercial because of its prints of lemons and oranges (you can see the complete catwalk here): I thought it was too extravagant to be worn everyday.
But now summer is arriving and I ever more need bright colours and funny prints!
I'm in love with orange this period and the same is with lemon yellow. So, this is another still-life outfit with this colour!

I already proposed matching bright colours with naturals, I think it's a really cool combination, so here it is another one more! I own a similar beige eco-leather jacket (see it here) and I think it won't be difficult finding one at Zara. However, this one is by Burberry Prorsum.
You can use heels if you don't like wedges like these, which are by Michael Antonio and their cost is $100, but you have to choose a pair of pumps.
Minimal jewelry: use a unique necklace or a bracelet: this outfit is for daytime!

Quando ho visto per la prima volta la sfilata di Stella McCartney ho pensato che era troppo poco commerciale, con quelle stampe di limoni e arance dappertutto (puoi vedere la sfilata qui): ho pensato che fosse troppo stravagante per essere usata da noi comuni mortali.
Ma adesso che l'estate sta arrivando e io ho bisogno sempre più di colori accesi e stampe divertenti, mi sono ricreduta!
In questo periodo vado pazza per l'arancio e così anche per il giallo , perciò eccovi un altro outfit con questo colore!

Ho già proposto di mixare i colori neon e quelli brillanti  con i toni naturali come beige e sabbia, ed è perchè penso che sia un mix veramente cool. Perciò, eccovene un altro! :)
Ho una giacca di ecopelle come questa, presa da Zara l'anno scorso (la puoi vedere qui) e penso che se ne volete una non c'è bisogno di prendere questa di Burberry Prorsum: dovreste trovarla nelle catene low-cost.
Potete usare i tacchi se non vi piacciono le zeppe (queste sono di Michael Antonio Studio e le trovate qui a $100), ma in quel caso scegliete delle semplici decolletée.
Siate parche di altri accessori: puntate su una singola collana o un bracciale: è un outfit per il giorno!

Autumnal outfit for a spring day...

I know, I couldn't go out yestarday, 'cause I'm still convalescent, but I did it. I had to do a few things I couldn't delay again.
So I covered myself as much as possible and I went out. This outfit seems taken from an autumnal post, but in fact, the weather these days doesn't allow me to do better.

Lo so, non potevo uscire ieri, perchè sono ancora convalescente, ma l'ho fatto. Dovevo sbrigare alcune commissioni che non potevo più rimandare.
Così mi sono coperta il più possibile e sono uscita. Questo outfit sembra tratto da un post autunnale, ma in effetti il tempo di questi giorni non mi permette di fare di meglio.

London shoes

Here it is the outfit of my Sunday evening spent at the theatre. Purse and jacket are the same of the morning outfit ( see here) : I changed all the rest.
These shoes are very special and very loved by the people: every time I wear them, there's always someone who stop me in the street and explains all his enthusiasm for them! ....And I really enjoy it!!
I bought them in London, in an amazing shop in Covent Garden which I never wanted to leave anymore...!!! There were a lot of amazing and extraordinary shoes that I never saw in Italy before and it was very difficult deciding which pair of them bringing home with me!

Ecco qui l'outfit che ho scelto domenica sera per andare a teatro. Rispetto all'outfit del giorno (vedi qui) ho lasciato la giacca e la pochette, cambiando tutto il resto.

How to wear a fluo garment

I think this is the most chic way to wear fluo garments: matching them with natural colors, as nude, taupe, beige. That's a combination already proposed some collections ago by Marni, but you know: trends are long to entry in common use...

How to wear orange red

Here it is a proposal to wear one of most amazing colours of the season: orange red!
This is a wonderful colour for tan skins, but you can wear it matching that with brown shades accessories.
The overall look is polite, geometrical, a little bit Fifties... Cuts are simply, shapes minimized. Remember to choose a tote, not a pochette!

Ecco qui una proposta per indossare uno dei colori più belli di questa stagione: il rosso aranciato!
Questo è un colore meraviglioso per le pelli abbronzate, ma possiamo indossarlo fin da ora abbinandolo ad accessori sulle tonalità naturali della terra.
Nel complesso il look è garbato, geometrico, un po' anni Cinquanta... I tagli sono semplici, pulti, le forme minimal. Ricordatevi di scegliere una maxi borsa, non una pochette!
