Charging some red energy

I'm not a fan of sales. I never know when they start and when I buy something during them that's because of distraction. I don't do that because I'm a snob, but because of the crowd, disorder of shelves, and finally because I never find right sizes and favourite colors of the stuff I really like, so I end up content with things that aren't in my taste.

Instead I'm a fan of the final sales: the stuff forgotten by the rest of the people busy with the new season's purchases. I absently search among those clothes and sometimes I find something good. Just like the golden sandals at H&M, last year, or this red sweater at Zara now, purchased for 5 euros only (it was 39,90!!).

Maybe I'll like it even next year...

PS: just an awkward question: isn't a steal selling a sweater for 40 euros but it worths less than 5??? (I suppose that Zara doesn't sell stuff below cost). I'd like to know your opinions about this.

Non sono una fan dei saldi. Anzi, non so mai quando cominciano e se ci capito è per distrazione. Non è per fare la snob, ma perchè in queste occasioni c'è folla, gli scaffali sono in raccapricciante disordine, non trovo mai il colore o la taglia di quello che mi piace davvero e finisco con l'accontentarmi di roba che poco ha a che fare coi miei gusti.

Sono piuttosto una fan dei saldi finalissimi: quelli, sì, che non si caga più nessuno e che giacciono lì da un mese; e quando tutti sono intenti a fare acquisti per la nuova stagione, io spulcio gli scaffali della roba che non ha voluto nessuno e che finirà presto negli outlet o chissaddove, in distratta ricerca di qualcosa che possa fare al caso mio. E' così che trovo occasioni come questa. Fu il turno l'anno scorso dei sandali dorati di H&M, trovati a soli 5 euro e indossati per tutta l'estate, ed è il caso quest'anno di questo maglione rosso di Zara, fu a 40 euro e ora mio per soli 5 euro.

Magari finisce che me lo metto pure l'anno prossimo...

PS: sollevo un po' di polvere cerebrale: ma secondo voi non è un furto vendere un maglione a 40 euro se ne vale meno di 5??? (parto dal presupposto che Zara non venda nulla sottocosto). Mi piacerebbe conoscere le vostre opinioni al riguardo.

Cherry lips and a denim shirt

A style I love because of its easiness is the total denim: coordinate top and bottom with the same shade of blue isn't so trivial and it looks good if you break up monotony inserting a few fizzy pieces: for exemple, I gave a twist with a pair of red suède pumps and a scarf tied at waist as belt, but you can also try with caramel accessories: they look very good as well.

Un look che mi piace molto per la sua portabilità è il total denim: coordinare il sopra e il sotto con pezzi nella stessa tonalità di blu non è così scontato e fa un bell'effetto se a rompere la monotonia si inserisce qualche pezzo più vivace, a sorpresa: per esempio, io ho dato brio al tutto con un paio di decolletée rosse in suède e una sciarpina stampata leopardo annodata in vita come una cintura, ma ci starebbero altrettanto bene (e ve le consiglio!) cintura e stivali in color cuoio: provate!

Pin-up girl

An outfit worn last Saturday to go out with friends, after dinner. We went to the Keller, famous here in Prato, where we listened to the live music. The band had a very funny style: they perfectly mixed  heavy metal singing style with the most absurd repertoire I've ever listened: from 80s disco pop to italian pop music... genius!

We had a lot of fun, and who cared about the heels: someone left them on the ground to climb on the tables!!!

Un look utilizzato sabato scorso per uscire con amici dopo cena, per andare nel famoso locale di Prato Keller ad ascoltare musica dal vivo (il gruppo aveva un divertentissimo stile, incrocio buffissimo di genere heavy metal con il repertorio più assurdo che io abbia mai sentito, canzoni disparate tratte dalla disco pop anni '80 e dalla italiana leggera....geniali!!!).

Ci siamo divertiti come matti, e chissenefregava dei tacchi: qualcuno se li è anche tolti per salire sui tavoli!!!

We're the new metropolitan people: we need something confortable but not shabby; everyday we go to work, or school, we front business meetings and then we go grocery shopping, get a drink with friends, we like to be trendy and cannot squander the money, we move all the day in cars, trains, buses, tubes and we always have to be presentable, 'cause our own apparel is our first business card which could open us many doors or close them....
We need colour, 'cause we're tired or stressed, and dress up colors is a good theraphy. We need feeling confortable as much as feminine.
Well, I try everyday to give an answer to all my needs (I think they're yours as well).
The clutch, I know, isn't the ideal bag for our daily journey, but we can bring one into our big shoulder bag :)

Piccola anteprima del mio outfit scelto per il pomeriggo in centro a Firenze con gli amici. Per il mio makeup ho scelto basi molto naturali e delicate, giocate sui toni del rosa chiaro per blush e ombretto, e osando un rosso acceso per unghie e labbra. Vi piace il risultato?

Forgive me for this absence... I've been spent a wonderful Sunday among grasses, trees, blue sky, kissed by light of sun and in peace with the spirit of the world!

Spring is really warm this year, I need some sea time...

Unfortunately as usual every year, the time of seasonal change has come... :(

I'm destroyed thinking about this because I won't change the place of my garments in the same closet (I haven't got a real closet indeed), but I will have to bring my stuff in the garret, which is an hard work... ohiohiohi.... what a bad Saturday I'm going to spent!

La primavera è veramente calda quest'anno, e io ho bisogno di un po' di mare...

Informal party

Last evening we were invited at a friend's home for her birthday. I chose a very simple outfit because of informal situation, but I wanted to give a touch of mine with details: red lipstick (this one is an orange red shade perfect for good weather), red patent shoes (with a low heel: at home are more confortable!), my funny panda ring and jeans rolled up at the bottom (I think this way gives you a perfect look with pumps!)
Other accessories I chose are really basic: a linear thiny collar, two simple bangles (one of those was added last minute). Gold was perfect with simplicity of black&white, don't you think?
So what? Was I suitable for a house party among friends?

Tie a knot on your tee

Last thursday evening I had to see a friend, but I had so many things to do I couldn't afford to take a shower, wash my hair and change my clothes... So I made the same look I had during the day, changing the jacket only, and deciding at least before going out to tie a knot in my swetshirt, as a rose.
I wore two headband, so my gathered hair wouldn't seem too messy, and I chose them in the same colour of shoes and nailpolish...
Finally I liked my look and decided to present it here.

Giovedì sera dovevo vedere un'amica, ma avevo così tante cose da fare che non potevo permettermi di farmi una doccia, nè di lavarmi i capelli e nemmeno di cambiarmi... Così mi sono presentata con lo stesso look del giorno, cambiandomi solo la giacca e decidendo solo all'ultimo momento prima di uscire di fare un nodo alla felpa, come se fosse una rosellina.

How to wear orange red

Here it is a proposal to wear one of most amazing colours of the season: orange red!
This is a wonderful colour for tan skins, but you can wear it matching that with brown shades accessories.
The overall look is polite, geometrical, a little bit Fifties... Cuts are simply, shapes minimized. Remember to choose a tote, not a pochette!

Ecco qui una proposta per indossare uno dei colori più belli di questa stagione: il rosso aranciato!
Questo è un colore meraviglioso per le pelli abbronzate, ma possiamo indossarlo fin da ora abbinandolo ad accessori sulle tonalità naturali della terra.
Nel complesso il look è garbato, geometrico, un po' anni Cinquanta... I tagli sono semplici, pulti, le forme minimal. Ricordatevi di scegliere una maxi borsa, non una pochette!

Eye-catching necklace

Bought this necklace in a handicraft shop in Gallipoli several years ago, but I have to say every time I wear it always makes its good look, it catches eyes and makes me receive lots of compliments... So again this morning in the center.

Today it's sunny! this light enhances the colour of these Zara pants I purchased a few days ago (do you remember?)

How to create a colour block - part I

Creating a colour block as last trends want it's a very difficult operation especially when you have to coordinate several colours and not to seem a clown ! It's difficult also if you are one of that million of people who opens their own closet and find only black garments.... :)

Well, it's not a mission impossible! It takes only basic garments to create a successfully colourblock outfit and it isn't so much expensive.

At Zara's you can find a lot of colorful basic skinny pants. Prices are about 25 - 30 euros.

Here I chose a pair of red ones. Red is a colour quite used every spring and summer, so you can invest in a garment of this colour sure you can easily reuse them again next year.

Then, you can rustle up from your closet an old colorful basic tshirt. For exemple, I found among my boyfriend's garments a large intimate pink tshirt like this one. That's perfect!

Accessories must be in a different colour, so I found that blue was perfect for this: and here are a pair of blue flats (very basic, these ones are by Topshop) and a simply bag in the same colour.

Other accessories, as necklaces or rings or bracelets must be rationed: anything more might break the balance and make you look like a circus tent.... 

If you want however coordinate a necklace, for exemple, choose a simple gold one like this.

But remember: colourblock is synonymous of shape simplicity! Take ispiration from Mondrian's paintings...

Creare un "color block" come vogliono le ultime tendenze può essere un'operazione molto difficile soprattutto quando devi abbinare  più colori insieme senza sembrare un clown! E' difficile anche se sei una dei milioni di persone che aprono l'armadio e trovano solo capi neri...... :)

Beh, non è una missione impossibile! Ci vogliono solo capi basici per creare un outfit colorato di successo senza spendere una cifra.

Da Zara puoi trovare molti pantaloni skinny basici colorati. I prezzi sono tra i 25 e i 30 euro.

Qui ne ho scelto un paio rosso. Il rosso è un colore abbastanza usato ogni primavera ed estate, perciò puoi decidere di investire tranquillamente in un capo di questo colore sicura che lo userai anche il prossimo anno.

Poi, ripesca dal tuo armadio una qualche vecchia tshirt basica colorata. Io per esempio ho trovato, rovistando tra le cose del mio ragazzo, una t-shirt intima larga rosa come questa. E' perfetta!

Gli accessori devono essere di un colore diverso, per esempio io trovo che il blu in questo caso sia perfetto: peerciò ecco qui un paio di ballerine blu (molto basiche, queste sono di Topshop) e una borsa semplice nello stesso colore.

Altri accessori, come collane o anelli o bracciali devono essere razionati: qualsiasi cosa in più rischia di rompere l'equilibrio e farti sembrare un tendone da circo.... 

Se comunque preferisci abbinare una collana, per esempio, scegliene una semplice dorata come questa.

Ma ricorda: colorblock è sinonimo di semplicità delle forme! Prendi ispirazione dai quadri di Mondrian....

It's a rainy day and I make e-shopping!

Today is a rainy day here in Florence, so all we can do is stay at home and make relaxing things: reading, listening to music, making shopping online :D !!
I have already spotted a few days ago a shopping bag in cognac real leather, on a site  suggested to me by my mum (yes, that's right: she's very advanced, she makes e-shopping since several years, and she discovered and experienced it before me and also suggests new sites that I didn't not know .... she's a legend!)

New young evening - how to use a simply white tshirt in the evening

Today I was thinking about a new outfit I would like to create on me, based on a simply white tshirt(this one is sequined), relooked whith a cascade of afke golden jewellery: a lot of golden rings, bangles and a unique necklace composed by a simply chain and a pendant in shape of a lion. Then, match all with a long red evening skirt and a pair of golden sandals: heels or flats.
I like very much this result. And you?
I'm going to search a long skirt like this one to wear this outfit. Can you help me? Where can I find it?

Oggi pensavo a un nuovo outfit che mi piacerebbe ricreare su di me, basato su una semplice tshirt bianca (questa che vedete è paillettata), ripensata con una cascata di finti gioielli dorati: una montagna di anelli, bracciali rigidi e una sola collana dorata con una catena grossa e un pendente a forma di leone. Poi, abbinare il tutto a una lunga gonna da sera rossa e a un paio di sandali oro: coi tacchi o senza.
Mi piace parecchio il risultato, e a voi?
Sto cercando una gonna lunga come questa per poter indossare questo outfit. Mi date una dritta? Dove posso trovarla?

These sandals are one of my recent purchases with sales at Zara's. 
The coat is one of my creations for Koralline, instead: I'm really proud of it!
Although I'm not chilly, it was very cold yesterday! 

I like this match: leopard + red + black + a touch of gold! What do you think about?

I already raised this look at the very impressive event by Gareth Pugh for Pitti Immagine, a month ago, held in the charming room on the top floor of Orsanmichele Church in Florence, with its splendid view of the cathedral's dome by side and the Palazzo Vecchio by other side!
