Simplicity of a black&white look with a pearl necklace was taught to us by M.lle Chanel times ago and that's still valid today, after a century of trends and fashion.
I ventured to reinterpreting it witha mix of jeans, over-the-knee boots and a d.i.y. necklace just a little bit kitsch (as it stands for chic with irony). If you wonder how to do that, get three throws of big pearls and a fake flower, remove the stem and then fix the flower where you prefer with a drop of  hot glue (it's extremely easy, try out!)

La semplicità del bianco e nero con una collana di perle ce l'ha insegnata tanto tempo fa M.lle Chanel ed è ancora sempre attuale, dopo quasi un secolo di mode. Io mi sono permessa di reinterpretarla con jeans e stivali oltre al ginocchio e una collana kitsch (ovvero chic sopra le righe, con molta ironia) creata da me. Se volete provare a rifarla, utilizzate tre fili di perle grosse come me e un fiore finto a cui ho staccato il gambo e che poi ho fissato con una goccia di colla a caldo (è semplicissimo, provateci anche voi!).

Let it snow... stay at home

I would have taken these pictures out, and in fact I saw an amazing location too, but I gave up just after walking for 5 minutes: here in Prato a freezing wind has raged and it seems we're in Siberia. I almost risked a frostbite, so I decided I will keep the location for spring outfits and I'll keep on taking pics inside my home until temperatures will be more humanly tolearble. Afterall, I'm a woman grown at the sun of the warm warm South of Italy!! I've not been programmed to bear this frost!

Volevo fare delle foto in esterno, ieri, e avevo trovato anche una location molto molto carina, ma ho rinunciato dopo aver fatto 5 minuti di passi a piedi: su Prato si è scatenato un vento gelido che fa concorrenza alla bora di Trieste e pareva di essere in Siberia. Ho quasi rischiato un assideramento, e così ho deciso che riserverò la location per climi più primaverili e continuerò a scattare foto in casa finchè la temperatura non tornerà a livelli umanamente accettabili. Insomma, io sono una donna del Sud, cresciuta al sole della Puglia, a queste temperature non ci sono abituata!!

Another way to match blazer

Blazer is a garment I would collect if I had an unlimited bank account.

Instead of wearing it with a shirt or a tee, this time I tried to overlay with a sweater. The sweater was a light pull 'cause otherwise it would have wasted the blazer's fit. A solution for wearing an heavier sweater could be steal a blazer from your partner's wardrobe.

Plus, on catwalks many designers proposed the blazer (expecially if it's a tweed one) with a thiny belt worn upon it tight in the waist. To try.

This time I left it unbuttoned and I matched with a pair of denim shorts to give the look a street twist. If you well resist the cold, you can try it. Otherwise, wear woolen tights and over-the-knee boots like mine.

Il blazer: un capo che collezionerei, se avessi un conto in banca illimitato. 

Invece che indossarlo con la solita camicia o con la t-shirt, stavolta ho provato a sovrapporlo a un maglioncino. Abbastanza leggero, per la verità, perchè altrimenti rischia di compromettere la vestibilità della giacca. Una soluzione per indossare il maglione più voluminoso potrebbe essere quella di rubare il blazer al proprio compagno. Sulle passerelle molti stilisti hanno proposto inoltre il blazer (specialmente in tweed) con una cinturina sopra, stretta nel punto vita. Da provare.

In questo caso io l'ho lasciato sbottonato, indossandolo coi calzoncini in denim estivi per rendere il look più street e meno serioso. Se non avete freddo alle gambe, potete provarlo anche voi, magari aiutandovi coi collant in lana e gli stivali sopra al ginocchio...

Personal stylist: how to match orange pants

During past days I received many SOS emails by you, who asked me tips to dress up for an occasion or suggestions about how to match certain garments. I'm so glad to see how much trust and esteem you place in my personal taste and I hope I've been useful and gave you right tips.    

A few days ago I received another request in which a follower asked me tips about how to match a simple pair of orange slim pants bought at Zara's. 

The girl who wrote me was a little afraid about the brightness of the color: she doesn't want to look excessive. Here are two proposal for day and night:

Nei giorni passati ho ricevuto diverse email con richieste di aiuto da parte vostra, nelle quali mi chiedevate consigli su come vestire per una certa occasione o su come abbinare determinati capi. 

Sono veramente felice di vedere quanta fiducia e stima riponete nei confronti del mio gusto personale e spero di esservi stata utile e di avervi dato i consigli giusti.

Qualche giorno fa, ad ogni modo, ho ricevuto un'altra richiesta con la quale una follower mi chiedeva come abbinare un paio di pantaloni arancioni a sigaretta comprati da Zara.

La ragazza che mi ha scritto era solo un po' timorosa riguardo alla grintosità del colore, ma con queste proposte dovrebbe stare abbastanza tranquilla :)
