Stefanel party in Firenze

As I announced from my pages on Facebook and Twitter, last Thursday I was in Florence as guest blogger at the cocktail party hosted by Stefanel to celebrate the restyling of the store.
Stefanel has gifted to me a wonderful dress I've chosen among all the pieces of the new spring/summer 2012 collection available now in every store all over the world and online here. What do you think about my choice? Do you like this dress?

Come vi annunciavo dalle mie pagine Facebook e Twitter, giovedì sera ho partecipato come blogger, ospite di Stefanel, al cocktail party per festeggiare il restyling dello store di via Roma a Firenze.

Per l'occasione, Stefanel - che ringrazio per l'impeccabile ospitalità - mi ha fatto dono di un abito che ho personalmente scelto fra tutti quelli della collezione primavera / estate 2012 disponibili ora in tutti i punti vendita Stefanel e nel negozio online qui. Che ne dite della mia scelta? Vi piace questo vestito?

These are rewards: my first entrance at Pitti as blogger

...can you imagine what this card means to me? No, you can't, of course, so I'll try to explain.

Entering to exhibitions is a privilege reserved to workers in the sector. To enter at Pitti and watch new trends in fashion you should be an exhibitor, a buyer (so you should have a store) or a journalist. I do not have any of three things, so for me it was denied access to the exhibition. But my love for everything about new trends&fashion was stronger: so I always entered with a trick: I asked to friends owning stores to let me enter with their name so I entered as buyer. Of course inside the situation was a little difficult cause people in  the stands began asking me "Do you own a store? Where?" and more. In short, I immediately fled.

Entering in Pitti as press, instead, is a completely different thing. Everyone is nice with you and available to answer your questions and explain everything you need. Plus, you can take pics and everything is more satisfying!

Today I realized a dream, a little dream, and it's due to this blog and to you who follow me and support every day: for the first time in my life I registered officially in Pitti with my name and the name of my blog!

...sapete cosa vuol dire questo cartellino per me? naturalmente no, non potete saperlo, e allora ve lo spiegherò.

Entrare alle fiere è un privilegio riservato agli addetti del settore. Per entrare a Pitti e vedere cosa ci sarà di nuovo nella moda l'anno prossimo, devi essere un espositore, un buyer (cioè avere un negozio o comprare e fare ricerca per conto di negozi e boutique) oppure un giornalista. Io non sono nessuna delle tre cose, non lo sono mai stata quindi per me l'accesso alla fiera era negato. Ma il mio amore per tutto quanto riguarda le nuove tendenze è sempre stato più forte: e così mi sono sempre "imbucata". Utilizzavo amici e conoscenti con negozi come prestanome e mi registravo come buyer. Ovviamente poi non era così semplice poter guardare tutto in santa pace, perchè giustamente negli stand incominciavano a tartassarmi di domande: "Hai un negozio? Dove? Cosa vendi?" ecc. Insomma, fuggivo quasi subito.

Entrare come stampa, invece, è proprio un'altra cosa. Tutti sono gentili con te e disponibili a spiegarti tutto quello che vuoi. Puoi fare foto, puoi fare domande, e insomma: è più soddisfacente!

Io oggi ho realizzato un sogno, un piccolo sogno, e lo devo a questo blog e non da meno a voi che mi seguite e mi appoggiate e mi leggete con interesse ogni giorno: per la prima volta nella mia vita sono entrata ufficialmente a nome mio e del mio blog a Pitti! Non più clandestina, non più un'infiltrata: Sara Gambarelli - Life In Curl - stampa.

Oggi sono felice.

Wendy in Wonderland S/S 2012 fashion show

Venerdì scorso sono stata ospite a Montecatini Terme di Benedetta Mariotti, giovanissima stilista diplomata all'Istituto Marangoni di Milano (il migliore in Italia, nell'ambito della moda) che ha intrapreso dopo alcune esperienze lavorative, un percorso da solista. Vi ricordate di lei e del suo marchio, Wendy in Wonderland? Ve ne avevo parlato nel post dedicato all'evento Iamthefuture, in cui vi mostravo alcuni dei suoi abiti e la scia fresca e femminile che lasciano al loro passaggio in passerella.

Le ruches, tagliate completamente a mano a una a una dalla stessa Benedetta, mi hanno incantata. I colori - un grigio chiaro polveroso accostato a tonalità neon e sorbetto - azzeccatissimi per le tendenze di stagione, come vedremo più avanti.

Oltre a questi abiti da sogno, la cui artigianalità è un elemento preziosissimo che mi fa apprezzare ancora di più il prodotto, Benedetta propone una serie di look per il giorno decisamente più street, composti di t-shirt oversize spennellate a mano e jeans Levi's customizzati, ovvero modificati, riassemblati, personalizzati.

Avevo già fatto i complimenti a Benedetta a dicembre per il suo gusto fresco e frizzante, e ora glieli rinnovo con un grosso in bocca al lupo per il suo progetto.

Pink Carpet Luisaviaroma

....The events in occasion of Pitti Immagine Uomo are starting. It's Luisa Via Roma the first that begins with a party dedicated to fashion bloggers. This time there was me too, with my brand new friends and "collegues" (even if this is not a real job, I know...).

The dress code was: pink. So, here I am wearing my purchase from Madrid (do you remember?), a romantic skirt by Manoush which made me risk and seem a pig disguised as a ballet dancer. Plus, I risked a congelation while I was in the queue at the entrance of the party: there were 2 degrees.....

If you're friends of mine on FB you followed all my real time updates from the party... and you already saw and read about frost and my killer heels. If you don't, do it, and give me your "like" on my FB page, cause next days I will upload photos in real time from Pitti.

....But how's this date which every fashion blogger want to take part?

...Incominciano gli eventi collegati alla fiera Pitti Uomo e a incominciare è Luisaviaroma, boutique dei prodotti di lusso che dedica il primo party ai fashion bloggers. Stavolta c'ero anch'io con nuove amiche e "colleghe" (si può dire così anche se non è un vero e proprio lavoro?).

Il tema era il rosa, e così eccomi con indosso l'acquisto dell'estate scorsa a Madrid, una gonnellina frou frou di Manoush che mi ha fatto rischiare l'effetto "Porky Pig vestito da Ballerina dei Sogni", oltre che un congelamento all'entrata della festa, con 2 gradi netti....

Se siete miei amici su FB avrete seguito in tempo reale tutti gli aggiornamenti della serata... dal freddo, al mio tacco 15 ecc.... Se ancora non lo siete, diventatelo, e già che ci siete mettete un "mi piace" anche sulla mia pagina, perchè nei prossimi giorni documenterò anche gli eventi collegati a Pitti Immagine (almeno, quelli a cui sarò presente).

Ma com'è, visto da dentro, questo fatidico appuntamento a cui le tanto osannate e odiate fashion bloggers vogliono a tutti i costi partecipare?

Pink Carpet invitation

In my mailbox today, there was this waiting for me: the invite that many bloggers received or are receiving these days from Luisaviaroma's team, the exclusive luxury boutique in the centre of Florence that many of you already know.
This year I will be there at this event organized for bloggers; this time the theme is... guess what? Pink. In fact, they called it "Pink Carpet" and it arrives right now I purchased a glittered pink blush yesterday at Sephora, while I was wandering through in a grip of shopping rapture, due to the withdrawal for several weeks. Just today I raised it pairing with an old Chanel pink nailpolish which is still perfectly liquid after more than two years (......ehhhh..... I always say that a few money more it's always well spent if you invest in quality....).

Nella mia cassetta della posta, oggi, ad attendermi c'era questo: il bigliettino che moltissime blogger hanno già ricevuto o stanno ricevendo in questi giorni dal team di Luisaviaroma, esclusiva boutique della moda di lusso nel centro di Firenze che molte di voi conoscono già. 

Quest'anno ci sarò anch'io all'evento organizzato per i blogger, che ha per tema... indovinate un po? Il rosa. Infatti si chiama "Pink Carpet" e arriva proprio a fagiolo, perchè ieri sera, mentre girovagavo da Sephora in preda a uno dei miei raptus da astinenza dallo shopping di diverse settimane, mi sono lasciata incantare da questo blush rosa babol leggermente brillantinato, e oggi l'ho sfoggiato con un vecchio smalto di Chanel che si mantiene alla perfezione dopo più di due anni (... ehhhh lo dico sempre che qualche soldino in più è sempre ben speso se si investe in qualità...).

Carissime, ecco una delle prime foto ufficiali dell'evento IAMTHEFUTURE a cui ho partecipato domenica scorsa in compagnia di altre blogger. Qui sono con due amici conosciuti all'evento, Giorgio e Silvia, autrice di un delizioso blog di moda, ricette e bricolage che dovete assolutamente visitare, se non lo conoscete.
In questi giorni gli impegni si moltiplicano e io ho sempre meno tempo di conciliare lavoro, progetti personali e tempo libero, perciò perdonate se non sono proprio velocissima a rispondere alle vostre email... Abbiate fede, prima o poi la riceverete!

IAMTHEFUTURE fashion show: my selection

Here I am, after hours spent selecting hundreds of pics (exactly 326) and analyzing technical and stylistic details dress after dress. Now I have to do my blogger due and write a chritical review of the best collection I've seen on Sunday at the event IAMTHEFUTURE in Florence.
I show you here strictly a selection of the most the most noteworthy garments to me.

Ed eccomi qui, dopo ore passate a selezionare centinaia di foto (326, per la precisione) e ad analizzare i dettagli tecnici e stilistici abito per abito, nel ruolo vero e proprio di blogger di moda e critica, a scrivervi la mia recensione delle mini collezioni dei designer emergenti che hanno sfilato domenica a Firenze durante l'evento IAMTHEFUTURE.

Vi presento qui unicamente una ristretta selezione dei capi più degni di nota (e che nessuno me ne voglia per questo!). Sempre secondo il mio modesto parere, of course.

First quick update from the event I AM THE FUTURE in Florence yesterday.

...Primo veloce aggiornamento con una carrellata di foto dall'evento I AM THE FUTURE a cui ho partecipato ieri a Firenze. Della sfilata vi parlerò domani, oggi voglio farvi rivivere con me quest'esperienza attraverso qualche scatto rubato...

Nella prima foto sono con la mia collega blogger Irene, che ogni volta trovo sempre disponibilissima e gentile, una di quelle persone che non se la tira per niente e di cui ci sono pochi esemplari in questo mondo!

Last Saturday I partecipated at a Trunk Show on the Tuscan Coast as blogger and photographer.

The boutique Venere presented its A/W collection and offered to all the guests a snack and a drink. I have to say this job is giving me many satisfactions :)

The pics of the event are online now on VenereBoutique blog, where you can read my report and get a sneak peek at guests, outfits and buffet, which I couldn't taste because I've just discovered I'm intolerant to the wheat, so I'm on a diet (and I feel really good!) 

The jacket I was wearing is my last purchase from Forte dei Marmi (do you remember?) and I loved matching it with chic and shabby elements. I definitely can say my look was shabby chic, do you like it? Let me know what do you think about!

Sabato scorso ho partecipato come blogger e fotografa :) a un Trunk Show a Cecina, sulla costa Toscana.

La boutique Venere ha presentato la sua collezione autunno/inverno e offerto drink e snack a poche selezionatissime clienti e io ero lì a testimoniare tutto. Devo dire che questo lavoro mi sta dando molte soddisfazioni :)

Le foto dell'evento sono ora online sul blog di VenereBoutique, dove potete leggere il mio articolo e potete andare a dare una sbirciatina agli ospiti, agli outfit e al buffet, che io non ho potuto gustare perchè ho da poco scoperto di avere un'intolleranza al frumento motivo per cui sono a dieta (e mi sento davvero in forma!)

Il giacchino che indossavo è il mio ultimo acquisto da Forte dei Marmi, ve lo ricordate? Mi piace moltissimo averlo abbinato con elementi chic e altri "finto trasandato". Posso dire che il mio look era shabby chic, no? Vi piace? Fatemi sapere che cosa ne pensate!

Evening at Teatro del Sale

Who knows the Teatro del Sale in Florence? If you never been there, you have to go and spend an evening in your life.

You'll spend a wonderful evening with many of life's pleasures, like eating well, drinking good wine, enjoy the italian typical conviviality and watch an high quality theatrical performance, all this at a fixed price of 30 €.

The place is a kind of private club, where you must have a membership card to enter (you can do it at the moment).

They've got a few of funny and original rules to respect there: for exemple is a must socialize and exchange news each other, otherwise the non-renewal of the card. :)

Furniture and atmosphere put you right in Florence in fiftteenth century, and the cook calls diners from a window when plate is ready with a typical accent and urges them to self-service or yells if he sees them use a double ration of schiacciata all'olio (a kind of very tasty bread).

After dinner, the saff systems sittings in front of the stage and you can assist at the show. Yesterday there was a very brilliant monologue by an apulian actor, Ippolito Chiarello.

He had the brilliant idea to presenting the same show in the streets and sell it in pieces, each with a fixed price, from 2 to 15 euros per scene. So, you can request your favourite scene and watch the low-cost show in the street. This also represent a kind of protest against economica cuttings to the culture by the government.

The actor is on tour and you can watch his performances also in Paris and London (more info here).

And you? What did you do this saturday, guys? This was my outfit for the evening: I'm quite in a spring mood, also because in a few days I shall see Gab, at last!

Film Middle East Now in Florence

Last evening I went to Florence at Film Middle East Now opening, the 2nd edition of Iranian film festival  which last year was very successful.

Last year I wasn't in town and unfortunately I've lost him, but this year I let myself get away this interesting event. If you are in Tuscany, I recommend you take a leap into the weekend: the festival will run until Tuesday 22.

Ieri sera sono stata all'inaugurazione di Fim Middle East Now al Cinema Odeon nel cuore di Firenze, la seconda edizione del festival del cinema iraniano che l'anno scorso ha avuto un grande successo.
