DIY - Seashell necklace

Sometimes it happens: I'm struck by an idea,  until I realized I can not find peace: I have it always in my head, buzzing in the background to all other thoughts, creeps into the things I see, comes over me when I have nothing to do ... In other words, an obsession! :)
It was the case of this necklace i had in my head for months but because of all the commitments (but also because of laziness) I didn't realize it...
Now vacations are started, we all can do relaxing things so I did it. I suggest if you're leaving for the beach to bring as souvenir some seashells and make a necklace like this one I did.

Ogni tanto succede che vengo folgorata da un'idea e finchè non l'ho realizzata non trovo pace: ce l'ho sempre in testa, mi ronza in sottofondo a tutti gli altri pensieri, si insinua nelle cose che vedo, mi assale quando non ho nulla da fare... Insomma, una vera ossessione! :)

E' il caso di questa collana, che ho in testa da mesi ma un po' per gli impegni che si moltiplicano (per fortuna) un po' per pigrizia, non ho mai realizzato...
Ora che le vacanze sono incominciate, ho potuto finalmente metterci mano e consiglio a tutte voi che state partendo per una località di mare di portarvi a casa qualche bella conchiglia come souvenir e farci una collana come quella che vi mostro oggi!

Vi serve qualche catena e un po' di conchiglie che vi piacciono.

Per realizzarla ho portato queste bellissime conchiglie che avevo raccolto tanto tempo fa su una spiaggia da un orafo e gioielliere di Sesto Fiorentino  - Follie Gioielli - che realizza gioielli anche su disegno (una risorsa preziosissima che ho intenzione di sfruttare a breve... volete mettere la soddisfazione di indossare un gioiello disegnato da voi?). I suoi strumenti, infatti, erano assolutamente necessari per bucare le conchiglie senza romperle.

To realize it, I brought these beautiful shells I had collected so long ago on a beach by a goldsmith - Follie Gioielli - who creates jewelry in Sesto Fiorentino (near Florence) also on design (a precious resource that I intend to take a short ... you want to put the satisfaction of wearing a jewel designed by you?). His instruments were in fact absolutely necessary to pierce the shells without breaking them.

I chose chains rather large because the effect I just want is to get an opulent necklace.

Mi sono procurata delle catene color oro piuttosto grosse perchè l'effetto che voglio ottenere è proprio quello di una collana vistosa e opulenta.

Other materials: rings and lobster closures.
Infine, anelli e ganci di ausilio sempre in color oro.
