Another way to match blazer

6640897599_75909a3ece_o

Blazer is a garment I would collect if I had an unlimited bank account.
Instead of wearing it with a shirt or a tee, this time I tried to overlay with a sweater. The sweater was a light pull 'cause otherwise it would have wasted the blazer's fit. A solution for wearing an heavier sweater could be steal a blazer from your partner's wardrobe.
Plus, on catwalks many designers proposed the blazer (expecially if it's a tweed one) with a thiny belt worn upon it tight in the waist. To try.
This time I left it unbuttoned and I matched with a pair of denim shorts to give the look a street twist. If you well resist the cold, you can try it. Otherwise, wear woolen tights and over-the-knee boots like mine.
A kiss to everyone, you're always so nice.
Sara

First outfit with my new Tuscany Leather handbag

Here it is my outfit of my Easter days: confortable flats to walk trough Florence all the time with my family, my new Tuscany Leather bag and my favourite blazer (I've got a lust for blazer since last year...).
I spent my vacations with them and I'm very happy to have seen my parents after two months... I miss them so much!
This morning my love Gab is flying to Mexico again and I already miss him...
I need all your substain to switch quickly to the next two weeks!

How to wear blazer

Blazer
Blazer by Sara Gambarelli

Blazer is a must-have in a girl's closet. It's a passepartout for casual outfits and for more formal situations.
Here I chose two in different colours but both long. Both combined to a pair of blue jeans.
The black one gets a grunge look with a pair of "boyfriend" jeans rolled in the bottom, a studded clutch and a pair of rock studded ankle booties.
For the pink one with satin revers, instead, I chose a skinny fit jeans and a pair of peep toes in the same colour, with a look frou-frou. I've completed with a rhinestone clutch.
So we can create two looks: sofisticated grunge and frou-chic.

Outfit: spring in Tuscany

IMG_5176 cover

Good morning workers! How it was your 1st of May? Here in Tuscany the rain didn't allow us to get a pic-nic.
Fortunately I really love staying at home, so I experimented lots of new recipes I will share with you next days ...are you ready? :)
These pics were taken the 25th of April in the Chianti, the most beautiful countryside in the world, I guess. Tuscany is very amazing and when you eat a tender meat drinking a red wine while you're sitting in front of this wonderful places... you feel in peace with all your senses.
Where to eat? Well, here every place is a good place to eat well. The restaurant I've been hosted by is Osteria alla Piazza and it's a little bit expensive to me but dishes were yummy. I went crazy expecially for deer meat served with a blueberry sauce and a mashed chestnuts.
We took 2 starters, 2 meat dishes, 1 side dish, 2 desserts, 1 litre of water, a bottle of red wine anda coffee and we spent 95euros. Good quality of food definitely, but it wasn't enough for the price requested. This is the reason why I don't feel to suggest you this place. There are many restaurants in Tuscany where quality and prices are  both very good. My tour will continue...
However landscape is really wonderful and after lunch you can quitely take a walk in the nature for an healthy digestion.
My apparel: superflats with a short damask blazer, a white tee and skinny jeans. Simplicity with details: a special twist was the flowered scarf I bought in paris last February.
I love wearing blazers on tees with jeans; that's a look I proposed very often in this blog: I think it's such a confy look, never dull.
A similar look without the scarf is featured HERE.
Don't forget to let me know what you think about this look!
Kisses, Sara.

Buongiorno belle lavoratrici!

014

No, don't think I go out wearing just a blazer on when it's cold. This pic is from last week, when the weather was more pleasant than now.

Sales guide: what to buy

saldi2

Are you still in the making of shopping for sales? After a short survey on the Facebook page, I understood I'm not the only one who didn't find anything in the low-cost chains for sales: stuff on sale was so boring, while all I was catched  by was part of the new collection... So I took a look on the web and this is the trend-list I wrote with the topic-pieces we will find next winter to me.
What I chose?

Cosa ho scelto?

Evening at Teatro del Sale

Who knows the Teatro del Sale in Florence? If you never been there, you have to go and spend an evening in your life.
You'll spend a wonderful evening with many of life's pleasures, like eating well, drinking good wine, enjoy the italian typical conviviality and watch an high quality theatrical performance, all this at a fixed price of 30 €.
The place is a kind of private club, where you must have a membership card to enter (you can do it at the moment).
They've got a few of funny and original rules to respect there: for exemple is a must socialize and exchange news each other, otherwise the non-renewal of the card. :)
Furniture and atmosphere put you right in Florence in fiftteenth century, and the cook calls diners from a window when plate is ready with a typical accent and urges them to self-service or yells if he sees them use a double ration of schiacciata all'olio (a kind of very tasty bread).
After dinner, the saff systems sittings in front of the stage and you can assist at the show. Yesterday there was a very brilliant monologue by an apulian actor, Ippolito Chiarello.
He had the brilliant idea to presenting the same show in the streets and sell it in pieces, each with a fixed price, from 2 to 15 euros per scene. So, you can request your favourite scene and watch the low-cost show in the street. This also represent a kind of protest against economica cuttings to the culture by the government.
The actor is on tour and you can watch his performances also in Paris and London (more info here).
And you? What did you do this saturday, guys? This was my outfit for the evening: I'm quite in a spring mood, also because in a few days I shall see Gab, at last!
Have a good Sunday!

Unbelievable boy

074

Sometimes it's worth playing with your own image and your male alter ego to stay and see what it happens if you don't match a large and long white shirt - which seems extorted by bad manners to a man's wardrobe - with something feminine but with a strong-used effect jeans and a business-look blazer long down over the hips.

Happy hour with my friend J.

Before publishing pics of last evening, when I went to airport to give my welcome to my love Gab, back from Mexico, here are a few pics of the nice evening spent with my friend I always see gladly... Some toast, then mysterious messages from the barman ;)
Very nice my friend's bag... don't you think?
How do you think about this strange match, leopard + green?

IAMTHEFUTURE fashion show: my selection

300

Here I am, after hours spent selecting hundreds of pics (exactly 326) and analyzing technical and stylistic details dress after dress. Now I have to do my blogger due and write a chritical review of the best collection I've seen on Sunday at the event IAMTHEFUTURE in Florence.
I show you here strictly a selection of the most the most noteworthy garments to me.

Sempre secondo il mio modesto parere, of course.

Trend notes from catwalks: Gucci's new déco

Gucci Marlene

Jazz era is coming: while Caro Emerald's songs are conquering our ears from radios, fashion plays 30s mood with a luxurious androginous woman who wants straight and fluctuating dresses, male blazers upon hips, white and black geometrical shapes, déco embellishments, charleston dresses, just a touch of exotism with harem pants and tons of gold, gold, gold.
Get the inspiration from icons as Marlene Dietrich in "Morocco" and Claudette Colbert in "Cleopatra".
Listen to Caro Emerald and the electro-swing of Caravan Palace.
Then, pop into Zara and snap up all the golden tees, feathers miniskirts, sequined dresses and 30's style sandals: buy now, wear them all winter long till next summer!

Styleboard for the autumn

My holidays are going to start finally, and I leave my styleboard covered with photos from catwalks and magazines. Here it is a sneak peek on the looks that inspired me the most now.
I guess this is the way I'll dress up next fall!

Balance and empathy

A mix I'm getting crazy for is leopard + bright colors and fortunately fashion this year allows us that: on catwalks we saw a triumph of contrasting colors, daring combinations, eccentricity and flair. It's a real opportunity to express our personalities matching freely our wardrobe's pieces.
Some time ago, I remember, I proposed leopard jacket with red sneakers (CHECK IT HERE). Here I wanted to experiment leopard with orange, combination I had in mind for a while but I didn't have the occasion to show off.
This night I had to go out for an happy hour with a friend and so I calibrated sobriety and semplicity matching basic garments ( a classic jacket, a black tee, straight leg pants) with more eccentric pieces.
I think in fact we should try to calibrate our look not only for places we go or occasions, but for the kind of friends we go out with, without upsetting our personality of course.
I'm thinking for exemple about extremely shy friends who would feel uneasy close to a girl with a leopard sheath dress, exactly as we risk to look slippy close to a super curated and elegant woman if we're wearing flip-flops and jeans...
So, I find it's a form of empathy and it could make the difference in relationships.
What do you think about?
