How to match the flowered dress

Do you remember this pic? I took it from Glamour Italy for inspiration in this post.
Now I found some cute pieces we can use to reproduce the same outfit in a cheaper key.
The denim shirt is a cult piece of this hippie style season as well. So, if you already have one in your closet, you're advantaged. I'm trying to fix up.

Informal party

Last evening we were invited at a friend's home for her birthday. I chose a very simple outfit because of informal situation, but I wanted to give a touch of mine with details: red lipstick (this one is an orange red shade perfect for good weather), red patent shoes (with a low heel: at home are more confortable!), my funny panda ring and jeans rolled up at the bottom (I think this way gives you a perfect look with pumps!)
Other accessories I chose are really basic: a linear thiny collar, two simple bangles (one of those was added last minute). Gold was perfect with simplicity of black&white, don't you think?
So what? Was I suitable for a house party among friends?
