Balance and empathy

A mix I'm getting crazy for is leopard + bright colors and fortunately fashion this year allows us that: on catwalks we saw a triumph of contrasting colors, daring combinations, eccentricity and flair. It's a real opportunity to express our personalities matching freely our wardrobe's pieces.

Some time ago, I remember, I proposed leopard jacket with red sneakers (CHECK IT HERE). Here I wanted to experiment leopard with orange, combination I had in mind for a while but I didn't have the occasion to show off.

This night I had to go out for an happy hour with a friend and so I calibrated sobriety and semplicity matching basic garments ( a classic jacket, a black tee, straight leg pants) with more eccentric pieces.

I think in fact we should try to calibrate our look not only for places we go or occasions, but for the kind of friends we go out with, without upsetting our personality of course.

I'm thinking for exemple about extremely shy friends who would feel uneasy close to a girl with a leopard sheath dress, exactly as we risk to look slippy close to a super curated and elegant woman if we're wearing flip-flops and jeans...

So, I find it's a form of empathy and it could make the difference in relationships.

Un abbinamento che mi sta facendo letteralmente impazzire quest'anno è il leopardo + colori accesi, e la moda, fortunatamente, quest'anno lo permette: sulle passerelle è tutto un tripudio di colori a contrasto, di accostamenti audaci, di bizzarrie e estrosità che si rivela una vera occasione per esprimere tutta la nostra personalità mixando liberamente i capi del nostro armadio.

Qualche tempo fa, ricordo, vi avevo proposto la giacca leopardata con le sneakers rosse (VEDI QUI). Qui invece ho voluto sperimentare il leopardato con l'arancione, abbinamento che avevo in mente da un bel po' di tempo ma che non ho mai avuto occasione di sfoggiare. 

The freshness

Saturday, back from the coast, not tanned, but glad of my pleasant weekend by myself, I needed to wear a skirt. Can you imagine you're relaxed and in peace and you need to show your own freshness?

This is how I felt, and my skirt was perfect for this.

Green and pink matched together, and blended with white are shades very used in advertising to carry the idea of freshness and youth: think of all perfumes and creams which use this colour mix in their packaging...

I treasured and chose a simply tank top in white cotton. For accessories, I preferred to focus on natural shades and woven materials, which remind me the countryside and leisure: a pair of confortable clogs and a huge straw bag bought in Puglia.

Textile flowers are my "trademark" and add a touch of frou frou: they make me feel feminine and graceful even if I'm awkward and clumsy :)

Even the nailpolish I was already wearing was perfect! Do you like this hue?

Domenica, di ritorno dalla costa, per niente abbronzata, ma felice del mio weekend in piacevole compagnia di me stessa, sentivo proprio l'esigenza di indossare una gonna. Avete presente quando vi sentite rilassate e in pace col mondo e avete voglia di vestire la vostra freschezza? Ecco, io mi sentivo così, e ho trovato nella mia nuova gonnellina fiori proprio quello di cui avevo bisogno.

Il verde e il rosa abbinati insieme, soprattutto se amalgamati col bianco, sono delle tonalità usate spesso in pubblicità per trasmettere l'idea di freschezza e giovinezza: pensate a tutti i profumi e le creme che utilizzano nel packaging proprio questo accostamento cromatico...

Where to shop - Venere store, on the Tuscan coast

For my first assignement as a blogger on behalf of the store Venere in San Vincenzo and Cecina, I chose an outfit that would allow me freely all the time. I was carrying a pair of heels as well but I preferred don't to wear them because I preferred the confort.

The only two caresses: a flower among my curls and a liquid lipstick I found in the Pupa outlet two months ago. Do you like it?

After an endless travel (last 9 km had taken about an hour!) I finally managed to reach Valentina, who was waiting for me in corso Matteotti, 99 in Cecina. In her store, she was already envolving to advising a cient, so I took immediately some pics.

 I've found a delicious selection of italian design: all pieces from Pinko, Malìparmi and Patrizia Pepe collections, with all the season's key trends: lace, animal prints, neon details, net sweaters, ethinc prints...

I was catched by all those brightful colours, by the delicate silks, by the gleam of stones and rhinestones on the sandals... and I completely went crazy for the wonderful Eva contro Eva earrings ( I finally decided to redo the holes in my ears: I can't deny so beautiful accessories!!)

I'm seriously thinking about a pair of Pinko flat sandals with beads and stones... simply wonderful!

On the store's blog I'm personally managing, you're going to find next days all the pics of outfits and must-haves we developed together in the boutique.

Per il mio primo incarico da blogger per conto del negozio Venere di San Vincenzo e di Cecina, ho scelto una mise che mi permettesse di muovermi in libertà e stare in piedi tutto il tempo. Avevo con me un paio di sandali col tacco che avevo portato in previsione della serata, ma che ho preferito non indossare perchè non mi sarebbero stati di aiuto :)
Unici vezzi: il fiore tra i capelli e un rossetto liquido molto lucido che ho trovato all'outlet di Pupa due mesi fa e che ancora non avevo avuto modo di usare. A proposito, vi piace?

A very springish purchase

Saturday I had to attend several things, and shopping wasn't in my plans of course... but in a totally unexpected way I've been catched by a flowered skirt in the Benetton shop window.... I didn't resist.. :(

What do you think about? Was I right?
I'm really busy with the collection I'm designing and with the new blog I'm going to managing on behalf of the store who has entrusted me. Sabato dovevo sbrigare una marea di faccende, e lo shopping non era minimamente nei miei programmi.. ma in maniera del tutto inaspettata sono stata colpita da una gonnellina a fiori nella vetrina di Benetton... e non ho resistito.. :(

Sono molto impegnata con la collezione che sto disegnando e con la preparazione del blog che un negozio mi ha affidato. Perfection is boring

If I should choose one among the many accessories available to a woman, excluding shoes, I have no doubt to say: necklaces! They enliven the most drab outfit and during the years they began my fetish and distinctive accessory (following hair, of course!)

I've got a small collection, which hasn't got a place in my home yet. I buy them everywhere, I don't mind if they cost 2 euros or 30 (my budget can't go further unfortunately...): I have to find a special feature thet hits me.

This one catched me immediatly for the color, which years ago wasn't trendy and now is perfect!

I would like to fucus your attention on a detail: jeans rolled up, I often use, which are not due to the amount of rain came down these days :) but to a trick I use to look away from a efect (my short legs) and make it focuse on a strong point (thiny ankles inherited from my mother! Thank you mummy!). Pointed pumps emphasize even more this effect.

I firmly believe in power of those tricks that make us nicer even though we're far to being perfect... also because, after all, perfection is so boring... Don't you think?

Se devo proprio scegliere un accessorio fra i tanti a disposizione di una donna, escludendo le scarpe, non ho dubbi a dire: le collane! Vivacizzano anche l'outfit più scialbo e nel corso degli anni sono diventate il mio accessorio-feticcio e tratto distintivo (dopo i capelli, ovvio!).

Tortoiseshell

This year the coolest sunglasses, I think, are the tortoiseshell ones. I saw them on the nose of several of my favourite fashion bloggers and now I want them too! :)

In fact, the offers of this item are multiplying and it's very difficult deciding. There are some squared, rounded, in shape of teardrop, with blue lens, or fumé.

Quest'anno gli occhiali da sole più cool, a mio avviso, sono quelli stampati tartaruga. Li ho visti sul naso di molte delle mie fashion blogger preferite e ora ne voglio un paio anch'io! :)

In effetti, le offerte di quest'articolo da parte delle varie aziende si stanno moltiplicando ed è molto difficile decidere. Ce ne sono di squadrati, di tondi, a goccia, con lenti blu, lenti calde o fumé.
