Se sì, vi sarete sicuramente accorte dei luccichii: una cascata di spille, ricami preziosi, pietre, bracciali brillanti, collane importanti ha invaso le passerelle e sta per invadere anche gli armadi di chi come me - nata nell'epoca per antonomasia dei luccichii, gli anni '80 - è affascinata come una gazza ladra da questo effluvio di gioielli veri e finti. Alcuni di quelli finti costano come quelli veri, ed ecco perchè: più sono grandi, più sono appariscenti, più fanno "statement". E infatti si chiamano proprio così, queste collane: statement necklaces.

If so, you'll certainly noticed the shining: a cascade of brooches, precious embroideries, huge stones, diamonds bracelets, important necklaces invaded the catwalks and is about to invade the closets of people like me - born in the era of shimmering, the 80s - like a magpie is fascinated by this outpouring of real and fake jewelry. Some fake ones cost the same as the real ones, and here's why: the bigger and more showy they are, the more "statement" the get. In fact, they are called statement necklaces.
